I spend a lot of time in my kitchen! Whether it’s making my little guy’s meals, washing bottles and dishes, or just cleaning in general, and I noticed I was using an embarrassing amount of paper towels each week. I never knew how wasteful I could be until I created my own little messy human. Though we have always recycled, we hadn’t done much else before our little man was born to make eco friendly improvements around our home. I’ll be the first to admit that it is always hard to make a change once you are really set in your ways. I have also viewed most eco changes to be really impractical and expensive, but I am happy to say I am starting to discover products that not only save me time, but money in the long run. As a mom trying to manage a household, those are two areas that I am constantly trying to improve upon.
One really neat product I just discovered is the Swedish Dishcloth from Three Bluebirds, which drastically reduce the amount of paper towels we use around the house. These beauties, made from 70% wood cellulose and 30% cotton, can last up to 9-12 months. Just one dishcloth replaces about 17 rolls of paper towels! They absorb 20 times their weight and can be washed up to 200 times in the top rack of the dishwasher or the washing machine.
My favorite thing about them is their unique and fun designs that are printed with water based ink. I picked three flower prints to review because if I can’t always have fresh flowers in the home, surrounding myself with printed flower dishcloths is the next best thing. I love that they also have youthful designs as well. I can see our little guy enjoying chores in the future with his own set of these cute dishcloths.

It is honestly the simplest eco change we have made around our home and I invite you to do the same.
